News Welcome to Lickitty Stitch Custom Embroidery 10/9/08 The big new is that the Radio Control Car Club of Monroe County has found an new race site at 876 Ridge Road East, Rochester, New York. It should be set to open in a week or two from what I hear. You will be able to read more about it at Rochester RC or Western New York RC . See you at the track. | 8/29/08 I will post here when we find another place to race. 8/27/08 This is it. The last night of racing here at Bandit R/C Race Park. The Radio Control Car Club of Monroe County will hold it's last race event here tonight. I hope you can all come out for one last night of support. Come on out to race or just talk about old times. Thank you to all. Lew (Bandit 44). 8/25/08 Well, we are at the last two nights of racing here at Bandit R/C Race Park. I hope you will all be able to race one or both of the last two nights here. It has been a great two years here, but all things come to an end at some point in time. I only hope that all of you have enjoyed racing here.  Thank you all, Lew (Bandit 44) 8/15/08 Yes, you have all heard correctly. On Wednesday August 27, 2008 the Radio Control Car Club of Monroe County will have its last race here at 7:00 P.M.. I hope you will want to be a part of the final night of oval racing here. There will be Truck and Touring car racing on Monday night 8/18 and 8/25/08. Oval racing on 8/20 and 8/27/08. It is with deep regret I have made the tough decission to close the track permanently. Many factors were involved in my final decission. I know that there are many disapointed people (not the least of which is me). I have been an R/C Car racer for 30 years and I'm not about to stop. Many times in the past we have been without a large track to race on (or any track) and yet here we are still racing. Sometimes on big tracks and sometimes on not so big tracks, but we keep on racing. If it had not been for Mike DeMallie and I this track would not have been here two years ago. I'm greatful for the two years that we had here and I hope you are also. It is now time to move on. I know we all will. To bigger and better times. What the local R/C Car community needs to do is find a better suited building for our race tracks. We need to have several people involved because it is just to much for one person to handle by themselves (OR, maybe I'm just to old to do it alone). We can do it! We have some of the top R/C Car racers in the world right here in the Rochester, New York area. We need a large track and I hope someone can put it all together and open one very close to here. We need a building away from homes (which the current track is not) so that we can have an outdoor track for gas/nitro and not just electrics. There are places around here, we just need to talk to the right person. Finally I want to personlly thank each and everyone of you who have supported RnD Race Park and then Bandit R/C Race Park over the last two years. I will miss our good times but we will have new ones else where. My sincere thank's. Lewis Rhinewald, owner/operator Bandit R/C Race Park 7/11/08 There has been a lot of great racing here at Bandit R/C Race Park. Two weeks left in the first half of the indoor season. Plan on coming back racing at the start of the second half as the points start all over again. This is a great time to tune up for the winter season and continue to support the biggest track in the upstate, weastern New York area. Tracks all over the county are closing and I know no one wants to see Bandit R/C Race Park close, so please come on out and show your support. 7/7/08 Tonight is Monday night truck and touring car racing. &bnsp; Our normal Wednesday night Radio Control Car Club of Monroe County will be on Thursday 7/10/08. This change is due too the fact that we will be at the Monroe County Fair watching Mini-Sprints and Vintage Stock Car racing on the new 1/5 mile oval. Charlie Donk and Chuck Hebing will be driving cars owned and maintained by Danny Wilmes. Please come out and support the new track. A large crowd hopefully will mean racing at least twice a month at the new facility. Stop and say, HI ( I will be in the stands) and I will see you Thursday for racing on the carpeted oval. "O" by the way, we all know that economic times are tuff and a good option is to start in the area. May I suggest that you use your economic stimulus check to buy some R/C equipment and Rev up your competitive level right here in the Rochester area (hopefully right here at Bandit R/C Race Park). 6/17/08 Heavy rain last night but it didn't interupt our great racing on the indoor carpeted offroad coarse. Come on out no Mondays and see some great R/C racing. 5/16/08 The track will be closed all day on Saturday 5/17/08. Racing Monday and Wednesday next week. 6/13/08 Not related to here but we are race fans and I will be at this one. MPM Father's Day Spectacular set for June 15, 2008. We are please to welcome Messenger Post Media as our print media partner for Monroe County Fair Racing’s first 2008 event on the new motor speedway, Sunday, June 15, 2008. Micro-Mini Sprint Cars will race around the 1/5 of a mile oval track starting at 4pm at the “MPM Father’s Day Spectacular.” Tickets are $5; children 12 and under are free. People attending the Kids & Trucks Show that is being held at the Fair & Expo Center that weekend, will get $1 off their ticket price if they present their Kids & Trucks ticket at the Motor Speedway ticket booth. This event is a trial race to see if races can be conducted in a manner that addresses possible neighbor issues including noise, traffic and dust. The Fair Association conducted a pre-event meeting with neighbors who agreed to let the Fair Association run the race. A follow-up meeting with neighbors will be held after the race to see if the issues were adequately addressed. Racing is a family-oriented sport and encompasses all age groups. Because it can have such a positive influence on youth, the Fair Association feels that promoting different kinds of small vehicle racing will help them to fulfill their mission of affirming and advancing youth. Members of the community who were previously involved as children with the fair’s stock car racing are extremely excited and supportive of the new opportunities that the race track presents. For more information on the event, please call 585-334-4000.&nbap; Key Times: Pit Open: 1:00pm Warm-up: 3:00pm Gates Open: .3:00pm Racing: 4:00pm Admission : Stands: $5 12 and Under Free! Pit:$15 13& under not allowed in pit 5/9/08 Check out spencerspeedway.org and see the Mall photos. In the middle of the photos you will see a couple of photos of the Bandit R/C Race Park exhibit. On another subject: we continue to race on Mondays, Wednesdays and practice is open on Saturdays from 12:00 P.M. till 4:00 P.M. (If there is interest we will race on Saturday nights. Be there by 4 P.M. (or call) if you intend to race and we will see how many racers are interested.) 4/27/08 Trying to recuperate today from a very successful Spencer Speedway Auto Show at The Mall at Greece Ridge. Bandit R/C Race Park was allowed to setup a display of R/C action. Along with table displays we created a 10 feet by 24 feet carpeted oval track. We were off in an out of the way area but it turned out to be a very productive 3 day show for all. On the final day at 3:00 P.M. we hosted the "Spencer Speedway Drivers 1st Annual RC Invitational". A total of 16 driver that race a Spencer Speedway participated. The drivers raced Mini "T's" around the small oval. We did 2 car 15 lap qualifiers with the winner moving to the next round. The final 4 drivers raced a 30 lap main with Gary Cole edging out Mark Tychoniewicz. Gary drove the black number 44 belonging to the Bandit. Yes, I'm the proud owner of the winning car and no, it wasn't ridged. Gary was awarded a plaque donated by "in the Zone" (with locations in The Mall at Greece Ridge and at Medley Centre) with graphics by LS Graphics. This year the show was a trial for Spencer Speedway and the mall. For next year the show is already being planned with the mall doubling (to 50 cars) the car space it allowed the Speedway this year. The Mall and Spencer Speedway want the Bandit display with track to be in the center of all the attention and give us a much larger space for a larger track. All parties are talking about having practice on Thursday, quailing rounds on Friday night with the main event on Saturday for the 2nd Annual event in 2009. My special thanks go out to Tom Migliore, Jim Robinson, Mai Aros, John Zimmerman, James Van Horn and all others who stopped by to help. This was a very last minute deal with no time to ask for help. Bandit R/C Race Park also made contacts to be at other upcoming event with more to follow on those in the next future. That's all, Thanks for now, Lew (Bandit 44) 4/26/08 Having a great time at THE MALL at Greece Ridge. It's a great show! The Spencer Speedway show with Bandit R/C Race Park goes through today 10:00 A.M. till 9:30 P.M.. Between 3 and 4 this afternoon there will be a special Spencer Speedway drivers R/C race on the demonstration track that we have setup. It should be great and I know you will want to be there. &nbdp; It will be raining this afternoon so come out and watch is race and then go over to Bandit R/C Race Park for tonights oval action. The doors will be open at 12:00 P.M. today for practice. 4/15/08 Another great Monday night of racing. 26 entries last night. New coarse layout and everyone I talked with like it very much. We will leave it this way for a month and then change it again. Don't forget this Sunday is the Spring Monster Blast. Doors open at 9:00 A.M. with racing at 11:00 A.M. and we have added a new event to the program. After the third round we will have a Special Bracket Elemination Style Competition. Two trucks at a time with the one moving on in the elemination rounds being decided by judges. The winner will get a 3' high trophy and you will want to be part of that. 4/10/08 We had a great turnout for our 1/18th Offroad Shoot-Out last Sunday. We now turn out attention to our next big event on Sunday 4/20/08 when we will host the Spring Monster Blast. It will include 3 runs on 3 different coarse layouts. You will want to be here. More to follow shortly. 3/27/08 Nice turnout last night. 31 entries including one for St. Catharines, Ontario, Cananda and one from Detroit, Michigan. It was great to have a large field of cars. It always makes for close, exciting racing and last night was no exception. Don't forget truck night is now on Mondays and Fridays. If you have not filled out a questionaire please do so upon your next visit to the track. If you would like to see your driver profile on this website then please make sure you have filled out a profile sheet and returned it to Lew. Race hard, clean and have fun. We'll see you soon. 3/24/08 Practice is open now. Racing tonight for trucks and touring cars. Oval cars have always had this rule and with the number of new drivers in the truck classes it is now necessary to use the rule here in order to reduce the number of accidents and broken parts. We want to see people continue to come to Bandit R/C Race Park to have fun. 2/23/08 A big welcome to Peter from Canada. He is here to race against in the U.S. tonight on our CRC carpeted oval. We watched Mark Brooks start 5th or 6th in the 10th scale Stock D-Main and go on the win that race. Pete D'Agnolo started 1st in the 10th scale Stock A-Main and lead flag to flag. And they had the nerve to laugh at freezing the motor. Johnny Carey started 4th in and won the A-Main in 10th scale. For now we are switching the trucks to Saturday nights with the oval cars. For cars on Saturdays we charge $12.00 for 3 heats and a main. We would be happy to do the same for the trucks or charge the trucks $10.00 for 2 heats and a main. Check our events page for more details. 2/14/07NO racing at RnD Race Park tonight. RnD Race Park is closed due to the incliment weather. The Radio Control Car Club of Monroe County will be racing tomorrow night instead of tonight. We hope you can be here then. 2/12/07This is a copy of the RnD post on Rochester R/C : What a fantastic showing by RnD Race Park competitors at this years 13th annual Snowbird Nationals. We are so proud to have the likes of Pete D'Agnolo, Billy (Fred) Kempton, Brian (The Legend) McDonald, Steve (The Rocket) Miller, Mike Valintine (from the state of Conn.), James VanHorn, Brian (Zeggy) Ziegler and of course RnD's own Mike DeMallie competing right here at RnD Race Park.
